Parking: Closest parking lot is P8, which has visitors parking on Level 4 (“pay by space” spots). Kindly note that the parking rate is $15 for a day (night rates may vary). A ticket can be purchased at self-service stations located throughout the parking structure. Staff in the parking information kiosk can also be consulted.

Accommodation
For lodging accommodations, we have reserved a block of rooms [***NOW FULLY BOOKED; see update below with additional hotel suggestions***] at the beautiful new UCLA Luskin Conference Center and Hotel located on UCLA’s main campus. This is the venue where the welcome reception and banquet dinner will be held. It’s just a 5 minute walk from the Neuroscience Research Building where the meeting will take place.
The rooms are available on a first-come-first-served basis at a discounted rate of $309/night (we realize that might not seem like much of a discount, but LA is an expensive town and the regular room rate is $459/night and up). Click here to reserve your room.
If lodging costs are a hardship for you, please let us know and we will try to help you to find more affordable accommodations; this list of nearby hotels may be a helpful place to start.
Room reservations can be cancelled without penalty up to 24 hours before your date of arrival. However, because we have reserved a limited number of rooms in our block and are responsible to cover the full cost of those rooms, please only book a room if you are reasonably sure you will attend the conference.
Please note, the online booking link will only allow you to book rooms for the three nights of the conference (Wed 9/20 – Sat/23). If you will to extend your stay, you will need to call the hotel (1-855-522-8252) and they can add nights before or after these dates. However, they will only be able to offer the discounted rate for nights before 9/20, but unfortunately they cannot offer this special rate if you wish to stay on Saturday night 9/23) or beyond.

UPDATE: All of the rooms in our room block at the Luskin Center are now BOOKED and this hotel is fully sold out (at least for Wed and Thurs nights). We apologize for this inconvenience, as we had reserved as many rooms as we could and were hoping it would be enough based on data from past meetings.
We suggest that those still looking for a room consider the following alternative hotel options, or search for a nearby Airbnb. If you desire to stay on or near the beach, there are plenty of good hotels in Santa Monica and Venice. If you are not staying walking distance from the UCLA Neuroscience Research Building, you can easily book rides with the Uber or Lyft app.

Airport Transportation
For air travel: LAX is Los Angeles’ main airport, and is about a 30 minute drive from the UCLA campus. Taxis and ride share services (Uber/Lyft) are abundant, but you will need to take the free LAX-it shuttle to access taxi and ride share pick-up area.
